Everyone Should Be Able to Flourish Throughout Their Lives

The Duchess of Cambridge has launched a photography project, “Hold Still” to reflect the “spirit of the nation” through the current coronavirus pandemic. Taking this idea we have developed a space for a “bold Still” gallery that reflects the spirit of bold leaders through this pandemic.

We love hearing your news and seeing your photographs so do tell us what you have been doing and send in pictures for our “bold Still” gallery so that we can show how you are continuing to make a difference in the dementia world.

Our friends in Ullapool are continuing to keep busy with the Dolphin Arts Project, finding new ways of engaging and feeling creatively connected – though missing the first-hand experience of being together. Ullapool windows have become little art galleries as participants are encouraged to present their artworks in their windows.  Here are some pictures of Angels in the North. The work is being extended to the wider community via Paper-chain  so if anyone would like more information, check out the link here.

One of our Inverness leaders wrote to tell us about Leah in the community in Ullapool who, at the age of 16, has written and performed a song about her granny. Leah has had to come home from her studies and is filling her time with her music. The link to Leah’s song is here – her beautiful song and uncanny insight into dementia are simply too special not to share.
